Welcome to the Woodlands Country House Website. We are located in Wexford in the sunny south east of Ireland. We hope you will enjoy our input, and find it interesting and informative, we are delighted to accommodate you should you decide to visit us in person. 

Built in 1836, award winning Woodlands Country House is set in 1.5 acres of mature Gardens and courtyard of old stone buildings. This beautiful Georgian residence retains all the characteristics of the period and offers superb accommodation. The O'Sullivan family offer you the hospitality of their home and it's history.

The area is very quite with lovely woodlands walks, there is hill walking  within 10 minutes drive, or beach walking also within 10 minutes. Guests say you can also hear the silence. This is a very special place to stay away from the hussle and bussle. We have 1.5 acres of gardens with a lake, so if you wish to relax all day, you are welcome.

Plenty of seated areas on the grounds. We look forward to welcoming you and assure you of our very best attention during your stay.

Philomena will also be pleased to spend time with you arranging your day trips, and if you wish to hear the story of the history of this house, Philomena will relate it to you over a cup of tea/coffee in your spare time. As this house was built in 1836 so it has lots of History.


Breakfast are special with lots of fresh fruits, offering a large  menu to choose from. Everything is freshly prepared.  Tea and home made scones and preserves always served on arrival, and during your stay.
