Located in the picturesque rolling hills of the south Wicklow - north Wexford border,
Ballyellen Equestrian Centre provides you with the perfect opportunity to get into the saddle. Catering for all levels of ability and all ages, the people at Ballyellen are on hand to provide you with a warm welcome and experienced supervision when it comes to horseriding.
The centre is approved by the Association of Irish Riding Establishments and boasts a fine stable block and a brand new all - weather sand arena which measures 200 ft by 120 ft. The centre also offers livery facilities for those wishing to find ' board and lodgings ' for their horse or pony. Regular or once - off horse riding lessons can be arranged on an individual or group basis at a time that suits you and from this summer on, week - long pony camps are being organised for those wishing to improve their riding skills and to learn more about the care of horses.
Butterfly Farm and Equestrian Centre
Operated under the personal supervision of the owner's, Alma & Michael Byrne, Butterfly Farm offers the ideal conditions and encouragement to get started, or to expand your knowledge, in the exciting world of horses and ponies. Individual attention is assured and careful attention to the comfort, care and safety of even the youngest rider is the foremost priority of the centers management.Group lessons at all levels from beginner to advanced, as well as specialised private coaching in show jumping and dressage. Disabled riders, with special needs, are warmly welcomed and can be accommodated. All instructors are qualified through examining bodies recognised by the Association of Irish Riding Establishments (A.I.R.E.). The proprietors of Butterfly Farm are fully qualified B.H.S. instructors and continue to update their qualifications on an ongoing basis. The Riding Centre is open from Tuesday to Saturday as follows:
Tuesday 8am – 8pm
Wednesday - Friday 8am – 9pm
Saturday 8am – 5pm.
Sunday – Open on Show Days from 9am – 4pm.
