as it has miles of varied shoreline for those who enjoy sea fishing. The
coast is also dotted with well established and equipped deep sea angling
centers with fast modern vessels. In addition, a maze of rivers
criss-cross the region, providing extensive opportunities for both coarse

It is easy to reach the rich fishing
grounds around County Wexford, with over 200 km of coastline, it is one of
our greatest resources. Shore angling is also a very popular pastime among
the locals who can direct you the best locations. Wexford County possesses
an abundance of clean rivers and lakes to cater for the coarse and game
angler; the Rivers Barrow and Slaney are the two largest rivers. Always seek Landowner’s permission first and obtain the relevant licenses
and permits.
Sea Angling
Sea angling is an exciting sport for both the beginner and the experienced
angler.
Boat fishing competitions in recent years have seen up to 30 species
coming to the scales; conger, ling, pollock and cod are some of the more
common species caught.
Licensed Charter Boats have only a short distance to travel to reach very
productive banks and reefs.
Numerous wrecks off the east and
southwest Wexford coastline also add variety to
the sport of rod and man.
Charter Boats
All of the boats listed are Department of the Marine licensed and fully
insured. Fully equipped, fast purpose built boats, providing deep sea and
wreck fishing for groups (max 10-12) or individuals. Pleasure and
sightseeing charters can also be arranged; trips around the Saltee Islands

are also a popular charter. Most Boats have tackle for hire and welcome
